We provide mirror polishing services for both aluminum and stainless steel complex shapes. This is completed by rubbing nylon or sandpaper in such a way, that a clear, smooth mirror or one-way brushed finish appears on the product. This process can be used on many different metals, such as aluminum, steel, zinc, titanium, gold, and silver.
Sandblast is an application that air shoots a type of media to help remove rust, paint, or dirt, and most importantly, smaller burrs from cast and CNC products, giving it a textured sand finish.
Sandblasting is a hammering technique from a particular type of beads forming micro indentions on the product.
Standard Sandblasting beads are made out of glass and metals, such as aluminum, zinc, and steel. Different types of beads will cause different textures and finishing. The size of the beads also has a significant impact on the product's finishing. The bigger the media usually results in a grainier texture than the smaller media.
The tumbling process (aka vibration finish) is when products are placed in a liquid and media mixture. It is usually used at the end of a machining process to smooth out rough edges and corners and to remove tiny burrs that occurred in processes like CNC and diecasting.
Different types of tumbling materials can result in different finishing results on the product. Depending on what the requirements are. Tumbling can also be used at the beginning of a process as a deflash process
to eliminate large pieces of unwanted burrs and materials. The different shapes and materials of tumbling media are endless, resulting in a different textured results. Usually, each tumbling process has a duration of 20-30 minutes and removes approximately 0.02mm of the skin of the product (given its material is aluminum)
